I have been asked to rebuild an old server with NT4 following a scsi controller failure.
I can install NT4 no problem, but no matter what service pack I apply, the blue startup screen will alway say 'sp1'. Winver will say 'sp1'
On the first reboot following sp6a I get a dialogue box 'procedure entry point bLocalCall could not be located in dynamic Link Library SPOOLSS.DLL.'
Event viewer also says 'The description for Event ID (4353)in source NTSERVICEPACK could not be found. It contains the following insertion string(s) service pack 6, service pack 1.'
Any clues?? I have tried applying other service packs before 6a but still the same problem.
Thanks
Graham
