Why can my xp machine when logged in locally be able to explore into my domain and see all pc's and access some files? And even when logged in locally I could see my xp machine in my domain? what the heck! what good is it to login under my domain then?
does your local logon have same username & password as your domain logon? (because its a quirk of NT based systems (2k & XP), that this situation will give you the same access levels to domain resource logged on as local user as doamin user - though you are not actually logged on to the domain).
Its a design feature - some would say flaw, but its by intent (or so I've been led to believe!). Useful in workgroup situations (for NT/2k/9x/ME anyway - and XP with simplified sharing disabled), where you can set up reciprocal accounts on the machines to enable access across the network.
