Help please!

We are in the process of migrating from NT4 with Exchange 5.5 (on domainA) to Windows 2003 AD & Exchange 2003 (on domainB).

At present, I want users to migrate to AD on domainB but use Exchange 5.5 on domainA. I have created the trust and have migrated user accounts etc across using admt - all fine.

I have added domainB\user to each mailbox, matching domainA\user account, like for like.

I first joined 2 sysadmin accounts to AD and logged on to mailboxes - fine, no problems. However, all other users who join domainB cannot access their exchange mailbox, although they can access everything else fine. When they open outlook, they get the user/password prompt which fails when they use their domainB credentials.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Jon

Fixed it. Added all users in DomainB to the local admins on the NT4 server hosting exchange 5.5 and now the users in DomainB can access their own mailboxes in DomainA. A dirty fix, but it does the job! The syntax I used was:

net localgroup administrators "DomainB\domain users" /add
