If you, or any other program, updated IE to the 128 bit version, your NT was also patched up to High Encryption.

i put ie 6 on it, would that change it!, im damed if ive got to download the whole sp6a again! Marc Turner

ie6 probably installed high encryption.

In ie6 select "help", "about", and you will see cypher strength listed.

Yup, hit the nail on the head there despite you not using high encryption SP6a one of your apps has decided that you want 128 encryption (in my case it was a security patch for Exchange), the easiest and quickist thing to do is down load High Encryption SP6a rather than uninstalling this patch or that patch trying to figure out the culprate.

You can subscribe to microsoft's "Technet" if you do not want to have to download updates and patches.
You'll receive all of that plus their knowledge base, tutorials, beta software, etc. You can receive you service packs in 128-bit encryption.

how much is it to subscribe to technet?, otherwise im off to microsoft.com!
