NT server 4.0 service packs

What is the latest most stable service pack I can apply to my NT 4.0 servers?

I want to come up to the latest levels without a lot of worry and hassle.

I believe that service packs are cummulative am I correct? So I wont' have to do several updates, only the latest and greatest?

Service Pack 6A, which also happens to be the last Serice Pack, according to Microsoft, that will be made for NT 4.0

Also there are quite a few patches to install after SP6a. Here is the link to the post Service Pack 6a security rollup that contains all the security updates released since SP6a.

please bear in mind that installing the service pack is not a recommended task for the administrator to do whenever a new one comes out. you must identify the bugs/flaws you are encountering with your present setup then consider installing the patch. you may only need to install SP4 and everything goes fine.
