I am trying to lock down a Windows NT workstation so that the user can run all the applications on the system, but makes it unable for them to save anything on the hard drives or install anything. When I modify the permissions to do this though, my system slows down almost to a crawl. Any suggestions as to how I can maintain this lockdown without severly slowing down my machine?

I think you need to be selective about your restrictions - why no access to hard drives (lots of windows o/s functions need this)

I need them locked down so much because they are public workstations.
