Has anyone seen this message<br>
When the user tries to get the properties of the printer she gets the following message &quot;Operation could not be completed. The specified module could not be found&quot;<br>
I reinstalled SP5.I am about to reinstall NT, but figured I would post here to see if I can get another solution.

try reinstalling the printer driver software on her machine. Also, make sure that if the printer has an internal server(for itself), that it is mapped to her machine. If the computer deosn't see it as its own machine, it will not check the properties.<br>
<br>
Can she still print to that printer? If not, try reinstalling the software first.<br>
<br>
I hope this helps.<br>

I should clarify a little more I guess.She can print to any printer, but she can not see the properties of any printer, even if I install a new one, either local or on a print server.This began when she noticed in programs she couldnt get the settings to change which tray to print to

what's the printer model and the version driver being used?

No matter what I set up, it does the same thing.It could be any type of printer, even the adobe acrobat print driver does it

Is the issue user specific? Does the same issue occur logging into the unit with the admin account?<br>
<br>
If the same issue occurs, I would bet you have either corrupted or mismatched system / driver files. First check NTPRINT.DLL., extract another copy from either SP5 or pre-SP5 source.<br>
<br>
If the issue only occurs with this particular account, I would assume it to be a issue involving permissions. Not to say permissions to the printers themselves, but for system files that support the printers. If you do not use any local file security policy, you can try exclusively propagating the users access permissions for the entire <br>
%winnt% directory and subdirs. <br>
<br>
If all else fails a re-install may be in order!<br>

It is regardless of who is logged on.I log on with my domain account with local admin rights and I get same error.I copied the ntprint.dll and I reinstalled sp5, so I guess at this point I'll just do a reinstall.
