NT 4.0 SP6A AS PRXY SVR LOSING DOMAIN CONN

Greetings,

NT 4.0 station with 2 NICs as proxy server member of windows 2000 domain, logging in as administrator,

connected directly to the network switch,

no trouble logging into domain,

can map drive from my client to proxy server to check logs,

small time passes, then there is a little red x on the mapping in explorer, connection not available,

at proxy server, in explorer, cannot find domain, but proxy server continues to work, logging IP activity of the clients.

I then have to reboot proxy server and my client to get back the mapping connection.

What's going on here? Thanks.

On the server did you check event viewer for error messages? If so, were there any "abnormal" messages? If not, you'll want to try that, then take the Event ID's and do a search on MS's TechNet.
