I run a small shop with 4 servers (3 Novell 1 NT 4.0), about 100 clients (Win 95/98 & NT). I am running a database on the NT server. Originally when I set it up, it was to never communicate with the internet, so we gave it a non-compliant IP address.....

Now the folks who log onto that server want Email& internet access as well. The Win95/98 clients were easy to solve: I have loaded 2 TCP/IP protocols: one specifying an IP address, etc & the other using DHCP for the NT server. But NT Workstation will not allow me to load a second copy of the TCP/IP protocol.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Bind a 2nd IP address and mask to the TCP/IP stack. This address would be within the sub-net that has the compliant network range. Otherwise, it is strictly one stack per network card.
How are you planning to connect to the internet? If you put the items behind a firewall, it will do the hiding/address translation and you can leave the non-compliant IP address on the machine.
