NT 4.0 SERVER SERVICE WON'T START

When booting NT 4.0 Terminal Server, the SERVER SERVICE won't start causing other dependent services to not start.<br>

Have tried starting manually with no success.<br>
<br>
Any suggestions.

Try applying or re-applying SP4. What is the exact message in the event log?

If it is a multi homed computer or a computer with a ras card it can be IP related. If you are using Wins you may have some database problems. I have seen this condition when the PDC thinks that there are two machines with the same name in its domain. I solved the problem by rebuilding the Wins databases on ALL servers running as Wins servers. Rebuilding the Wins dtabase is cake. Go to microfts support page for details
