I can not get live update to install and run properly. This is the version
in Norton System Works 2001. This was installed on this system (win98se)
but now will not reinstall or run.

I have completely removed every reference to Norton as per their website to
do a reinstall. When running the live update installer I get an "Error 9"
Great!

When trying to run live update I get an error that says" could not create a
directory to store temporary files". Great!

Help please!
