NSS Volume Error

I receive this error every once and a while, and I'm wondering what it is. This is a volume on a hard drive that I added to the server recently. It has nothing on it except information added by Novell when I created the volume. This has happened a few times, and it's totally random.

Try a rebuild and check for NSS updates.

How do I do a rebuild? Also, I've installed all NSS updates.
