You did not say what you are using the dialup connection for. I have this done when they are sent remotely so that you can get to the box and add the IP or do other admin tasks without know what the IP is. It will not work for connection to a network.

I actually emailed tech supposrt and they told me that the NS5s have the capability to be managed by a 56k modem.
Is there any config to the NS5?

The setup is 9600 8 N, you will then get the user name followed by the password prompt. This method does not use HTTP but the line edit mode. I always use a VT100 program (reflections is very good) and do a "get conf", save that in a text file so you can do your changes them cut and paste them back, this is a lot easier then typing the full line in each time.
