Hello everyone,

I somehow ended being in charge of wiring and installing a new DSS console within a working enviroment with a NS-500 ("That guy knows about technology, let him take care of it" /sad ).

Im trying to use the second jack at the phone KX-DT543 (wich is 101) and the console is dead.

From what I read, I have to OUS and switch to DSS, then INS and after that go to DSS panel etc, etc. The problem is that I dont know wich one do I OUS since it comes with the same wiring that 101.. a random (obviously free) one?

The cable being used is 1pair. Is it enough or do i need to get another pair for it? I know that the phone uses position 2 and 5 (black/yellow) instead of 3 and 4 (red/green)withing RJ11 plug. I dont know wich ones uses the DSS console.

Any help would be great.

You need to use 2 full pairs from the PBX
The secondary port on the phone will only be good for an additional handset,
You will change the port on the PBX for your DSS console to DSS mode via the card settings.
