Besides the fact that DISA must answer and as such isn't good for forwarding to whereas CS can be forwarded to, is there any advantage to one technology over the other? I've asked this along with other questions and its gotten lost in the shuffle of problems being solved (thank you folks very much) however coming back to this work again and now having two PBXs I am responsible for I thought it best to get this straight in my head now.

I'll add that using SIP trunks with an LCO card onboard (but OUS, assuming this is the best way to get the system to not try to use COs) I have not been able to get 500 to answer calls and play CS greetings at all using DIL table. That has in large part driven my use of DISA on these with current firmware I might add.

Curious if they are nearly the same why do you choose one over the other?

I use Disa, mostly because the amount of channels( only 2 on the um by default)

I find it better on no dial intercept and if using it to transfer of premises

The max time a call will ring on the UM before being pulled back is 4 minutes where you can keep a disa call all day

We do a lot of insurance companies and they don’t need or want voicemails

Just my opinion

Thanks I appreciate the information and professional point of view. Very good of you to take the time to respond.
