Does anyone know if NRU 9.0 is compatable with modular 8x24 with dr3 software. This would be the style rad without the power supply. If anyone has a compatabilty chart for this please let me know or any documents that show the error codes for Nru that happens to show SQL error -87, not in any of the program docs I have? I would also appreciate any suggestions anyone might have on how to get this system programming backed up. I am not real familiar with the older style rads and Nru.

No version of NRU will talk to DR3. Your KSU software must be DR5, and only NRU 8.1 or lower will talk to a 824 DR5. Your RAD should be ok in the case of a 824 DR5 Brian Cox

OK if this is the case what style rad can I use with dr5 software? a rad compatability chart would be very helpful.

As I said the old RAD you now have should work with the 824 DR5. There is an appendix in the back of the Norstar Handbook that shows compatibilities. It says the old RAD is compatible up to the MICS R1T1.

Also, when you use the NRU you will not be able to use the tools to call into your system. You will need to use Norstar Manager instead. Click your Start button, go to programs, select NRU, then Norstar Manager 3.5 (I think). It will bring up a different looking dial up screen. The login is Admin and the password is adminpassword. The Login ID can be anything you want. There are actually two passwords available.

The General user password and the Administrator password. When you first start Norstar Manager, the General user password is "password" and the Administrator password is "adminpassword".

The General user password provides access to all of the functions in Norstar Manager except changing passwords. The Administrator password provides access to all of the functions in Norstar Manager including changing passwords.

Don't believe everything Nortel prints. they have been known to be wrong on a few things to say the least

Hey....

The Fast Rad and NRU 9.x certainly will talk to DR3. But you have to use the set emulation. NRU 9.x, using the emulator will talk to DR1.

I stand corrected.
The Remote set tool should work. It is the back up /restore tool and the browser tool I am thinking of and should a back up be needed you'd have to use Manager.
