We use the Now() function to produce close to real time reports. This works fine under a full blown version of Office Professional 2000 on a normal desktop. We now want to use this product on a server, yes, I know, office on a server, big no-no. BUT nevertheless, it needs to be done. On this server I only installed Access 2000 & the code. The Now() function no longer works. Does this rely on something else from the Office product?

Hi!

Since this function is used in other MS products, I am sure that it must be in some general object library. Make sure the ADO and/or DAO library is installed and make sure the standard VBA reference library is installed too.

Not sure which library it's in, but I had the same problem with an Access database on a new computer. I had to have our I.S. department do a full install of office to get it to work (which it did work just fine after that).
