Good morning,
When I try to open a Form from Design View, nothing happens .. it just sits idle. I've tried a direct click, right click-open, and also from the toolbar.

When I try to open it from the Form View, I'm told that "You canceled the previous operation".

Any recommendations?

Thank you ..

Is there any code in the form? Sounds like there is something cancelling the opening of the form, either some code in the on open event of the form, or it could be some recordsource or something that's dependant on values in some controls hasn't yet gotten a value that create the anomality.

Thank you Roy .. Crowley's reboot actually did the trick. I'll hold onto your recommendation in case I run into the same problem in the future.

it's more likely in *this* case that you had another instance of the form or even msaccess open, but it crashed and didn't get fully closed off...

you could have gone into process manager to manually end the process, but a reboot is more complete...

forgot to mention, it could also be some sort of debugging mode, but less likely...
