Hi,

My company recently has had a HiPath 3000 installed for a call center on-site and I need to configure a better system than speed-dial for old DIDs to be rerouted to the new DIDs if someone dials the old DID for a particular extension (I have 29 DIDs that I need this set up for). I currently have a 61C r24 v25. The Nortel DID range is from (485-) 4500-4900 and the HiPath range is (223-)1700-1799.

In reading previous posts on here, I found one that mentioned the best way was to set up the LOC in LD 90, make sure that the proper LDN and DID ranges are in place and then in LD 15, allow CNVT in the PSTN route.

The NXXs for 485 & 223 are:
NXX 485
RLI 0
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

NXX 223
RLI 0
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

The RDB for 0 is:

Laura,
I'm a bit unsure of what you're asking, are people dialing from the 61C to the HiPath? What will they be dialing, and then what do you want it to convert to? Thanks! -Matt

that will translate the 1st 100 numbers 4500 to 4599, if you have dsc's for the 17, your pretty much done, repeat the idc entry for each 100 block, your using idc in your switch now

Hi Mark,

Yes, people are dialing from the Nortel to the HiPath. If it is internal users dialing from Nortel, they currently would have to dial a speed dial number for 9+ 223-1700 to connect to someone on the HiPath for example. The call center users currently have Nortel and HiPath phone sets on their desks, each with their individual DID extensions. I need to find a stream-lined way for either interal users on the Nortel who are dialing one of the call center agents Nortel extension or outside callers who are direct dialing the call center agents old extensions to be rerouted to their new numbers on the HiPath switch.

Hope that makes sense?

Hi John,

Sorry to sound like an idiot here but what are DSCs?

Thanks!

Internally, it you could change your BARS/NARS to use a DMI for those numbers, and strip away everything and replace it with the new number; but that'd be 29 DMI tables; one for each DID you needed to move.

In LD86, you would do:
REQ new
CUST 0
FEAT dgt
DMI 15
DEL 7
INST 92231700
CTYP nchg

Then in LD90, you would do:
REQ chg
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
TYPE nxx

NXX 485
RLI
SDRR ldid
DMI 15
LDID 4500
LDID
SDRR
ITEI
<enter enter>

Then, whenever someone dialed 9+4854500, they would get 9+2231700.
You would make a different DGT (also called a DMI or Digit Manipulation Index) for each of the 29 DIDs in the range you want to change. Make sense? This is assuming that 9 is your AC1 in my example... You could also do 29 add'l DMI's in case they dial NPA+NXX+number.

Externally, JohnPoole's use of IDC would be best; if your DID's don't correlate then you would have to put the entire number in, something like:

LD 49
REQ new
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 20
FDID
IDGT 4500

4500 92231701
IDGT 4501
4501 92231700
IDGT <enter>

This would translate x4500 to be 223-1701, and 4501 to be 223-1700.

Hope this helps! -Matt

check out the IDC tables...these are incoming digit conversion...it should be as simple as john poole said...I didn't see any DSC's or distant steering codes involved.
It refers to CDP or coordinated dialing plan.

Thanks everyone - your info is exactly what I needed! Will see what I can do.

any number starting with 17 will now be routed to the tie route to your hicom... any switchman should be able to set up a dial plan that users don't have to know what switch their dialing from or to... we are not all there, but together we can get there... two loads 10 commands, you can test this with any 4 digit, 5 digit or 1 digit vacant number in your switch, be sure to remove test numbers, they will drive you crazy later, i built a single 4 digit number is 87 to test end to end, that worked so i left the rli in, outed the dsc (distant steering code) put it back as a single digit number, routing all the 5000 group to a remote switch
