Hello,
am not sure if this is the right Forum but,
We log into our net using Novell. We are using a SQL 2000 Server to access an Access 2000 ADP DB. The problem I am having is, everytime we change our password in Novell I have to change the given password on the SQL Server otherwise no one has access to the Db because the password is different than the Novell log on password. Is there a way I can transfer the Novell Password to the SQL Server when the Password is changed in Novell ?

Thanks for your time

Mark

I assume you are talking about SQL Server 2000.
The SQL Server could be configured for user authentication either through Windows security (mapped to your Novell userID/password), or through Mixed Mode authentication.

In the fist case you, you must map Novell password for each user in each database; in the second case, the user must have a Windows valid account to establish connection to SQL Server, and then supply UserID/Password to be authenticated through SQl server.

look into sp_grantdbaccess stored procedure which maps external windows accounts to the SQL server one.
