Novell Open Enterprise Server Linux

Hi All

Does anyone here experiences backing up Novell Open Enterprise Server Linux using Legato 7.x ? I have managed to backup a single machine using the Linux client software.
But what about two machines in a cluster ?
I know that his product is not officially supported....

Hi Till,

we have these Problems too. And the when i Backup the Cluster sometimes one Node is Running in an Abend. We have Novell Netware 6.5 Sp4 in use with the Netware Backup Client 7.2 from August 2005.

the main Problem with the Netowrker Client on SLES9 is, that NSS is not supported !

Hi Till,

Here is what you are going to need to make this work.
You are need the following to backup your lunix cluster.

1. Need to acquire a cluster lisense for lunix from EMC, that is, if EMC Networker supports it.
2. NW novell module

Most likely that you should work for you.

In the meantime, however, you can ask them for an eval version to test it.
