I'm haviing this problem with the netware client (4.83 SP2) no automatically locking the workstation when the screen saver starts. I'm using Windows 2000, any screen saver with password option checked. I can't figure out why it won't lock the workstation

Can anyone please help ?

Thanks

You can create a Novell Policy to enable a screen saver and lock the pc down. You would have to have a standard screen saver that this policy would point to for all users. I believe it is under the User Extensible section, but am not 100% sure. Just look around until you see Display. The screen saver tab is under there. Hope this helps!

Here's what you can try. Create a User Package. Under Policies select WinNt-2000-XP. Go to Windows Desktop Preferences and click properties. In the Desktop Pref's drop down box select settings, then display. Screen Saver is the second tab. You would then select the screen saver and check the box for Password Protected. You would then select how many minutes go by before the screen saver activates. Good luck!

I have tried turning on the password protect on the screen saver but it doesn't lock the workstation on any of our Windows 2000 PC's. The password protect option works fine in Windows XP but doesn't in Windows 2000.
