I am meeting with a new client using Novell version 5, and need to know how to determine which service packs have been installed

from the console prompt just type version. It will display the last service pack that was installed

Yes,... thats the quickest way in console. The other way is to check nwconfig.

If you want to check nlms and they version - type 'modules'. And if you have a specific module - type 'module <module name>' eg. module ds.nlm. ========================================
I learnt the most
when I stopped talking...

Duh!. I tried "ver", but didn't think to try "version". Believe it or not, the Novell website didn't give a hint!
Many thanks for your help.
