Novell 4.1 and powerchute

We have pwrchute loaded on a novell 4.10 server but when winchute.exe is loaded onto the workstation we can access the server, but the but it shows status as "no comm"

We have unloaded/loaded pwrchute several times to no avail. The cables are correctly installed.

On the console monitor, although one can see the item "PowerChute PLUS for NetWare UPS Monitor" on the menu, when going there it is a blank screen.

Can anyone help??

Until you get the message "Communications Established" on the Powerchute screen the UPS and the server are NOT talking to one another. You need to be sure that all the NLMs (AIO.NLM, AIOCOMX.NLM - with the proper settings) are loaded and the correct cable (not necessarily the one shipped) is connected between the srver and UPS. Is your ups correctly installed and loaded ? In your server menu can you see the UPS options ?

here can you find an example of ups command line in your autoexec.ncf

Search ADD SYSWRCHUTE
Load AIO
LOAD AIOCOMIX Int=3 PORT=2F8 NOFIFO #com(n°) (#= ALT+35 ASCII)
