I have installed Novell Server 5.0, binding it with TCP/IP protocol. When I try to connect to window 2000 client, It give the error
"cannot be authenticated on (server name), due to no user account. Do you want to select another preferred server"

Please help to resolve this trivial problem. Please keep in mind I am new in novel netware.
Thanks in advance

Ok, the next thing I would look for is the username that you are logging into Windows2K as. On the login screen, what username are you logging into windows 2k with? A+ MCP

Have you actually created the user account that you are trying to use. ?

Although Netware servers are not case sensitive, Win2000 is. I have had trouble with this until I figured this out.
Most of my desktops are Win98 and case has never been a problem, then I installed my first Win2000 system!!
See if that helps.

If this is a windows 2000 professional machine it will need a profile setupon it,meaning that you will have to set up an account on the machine and give it rights. Your login names for Novell and Windows will be different maybe.
