When shutting down Windows 2000 Professional this message appeared NotificationWnd for RNAdmin..what kind of trouble am I in.

Sounds like an issue with realplayer. Try uninstalling realplayer or disable the startup features and disable the taskbar feature

Kudos...did as instructed and now Windows2000 shuts down properly! Thanks!!!!!
