Notification when someone hangs up

Hi,

I was asked by one of my users if it was possible to get a notification on his phone when someone else ends his call. The client had this function on another job on another phone system.

The system we have is a Mitel 3300 and the phones we have are SS4015, SS4025 and IP5224.

Not sure what you mean? I would think the absence of the caller would be a good indication but maybe I am not sure what you mean. Is someone other then the caller terminating the call?

The client told me when someone else is already on a the phone. he had a function to be notified when that other person hangs up. a small sound was made on the phone and a message saying "this person is free, you want to call him?

A DSS/BLF key with the person's DN that he wants to see will work.

DSS/BLF appearance will tell you when another line is busy. For notification/calling a station that is currently busy after they complete their current call, use the Callback feature.

Yes if you need to know when a user has hung up so you can call them you can use the callback feature. i.e you call then get busy and hit the feature code. The issues as kwbMitel states is that if you have rerouting to voicemail on busy like most people have then you are routed to voicemail so quick you have no time to hit the call back code.
