Hi, this is kind of a dumb question but I can't figure it out so here goes. I have Notes 4.6 running on Windows XP. When the user opens up Notes, Notes Workspace opens up and is displayed down on the taskbar then when the user clicks on her mail database Notes - username database also appears down on taskbar. So when she shuts down she has to shutdown Notes-username and Notes-workspace from the taskbar. Any suggestions. I've never seen this before so I wasn't sure if it's a Notes issue or XP issue.

Thanks

Is this a case of the user having defined in his Preferences to not keep all windows in the same client window ?

Do you mean go under file, tools and user preferences and check in there? I have Notes R5 and this person has Notes R4.6 so it's a little different. I checked in R5 and there's nothing about openning separate windows in there. Thanks for your help!!

In Notes 4, go to File/Tools/User Preferences. Under the Advanced Options section, number 5 from the bottom up is "Keep all windows within main Notes window (MDI)". Uncheck this option and all the Notes window on your Notes 4 user will be contained within Notes instead of lying all over the Task Bar.

WOW. I amazed that a 4.6 client is even working correctly without a whole heck of a lot of red screens in WinXP.
