Notes not displaying web images

We have recently been migrated from Outlook/Exchange to Notes, and now find that newsletter emails where we could previously see the web images just appear in the mailbox as a series of links like:

I am fairly new to Notes, and our Notes admin does not seem to be particularly helpful on this. Is there something that can be done to resolve this?

Just curious....

Is the old exchange server still running and if so...

Are you using the Outlook Connector for Lotus Notes to transfer mail to the Domino server?

If so, what version of Exchange did you migrate from? 5.5?
