I have created a new view in my notes database and am trying to access it via crystal reports in creating a new connection. The view is not visible in the database expert dialog box. Can anyone tell me why? this is the first time I've had a problem and am probably missing something really elementary.

Is your new view a private view ? There may be an issue with that.

Pascal.

No. should have mentioned that. Definitely not private. In fact copied it from an existing standard view and made alterations.

I suppose the existing view is accessible via Crystal ?

Pascal.

Arrgghh !
I mean the one you used to make a copy of, that one is "visible" by Crystal Reports, right ?

Pascal.

Okay, so it's not a view type issue, nor a view access issue.
Is the first column sorted ?
And is there a Default View in the database design ?

Pascal.

Hey Pascal,

Thanks for sticking with me on this.

Yes the first column is actually a modified date.
@Date(@Modified)
and it is categorized and sorted. But this is true of the default view as well so that can't be the difference.
