specific computer on network keeps going to offline mode? Any suggestions a to where to set to online only, or is there a setting for online only?

Some email clients do have a setting for that, yes. Look in the preferences or settings places.

The answer is "42"

Specifically where? There is an OFFLINE setting under internet options, but not to lock computer into on-line mode only, shere else would I look???

If you specify which e-mail client you're using, someone could probably tell you specifically where.

Does not matter, outlook express, hotmail, windstream webmail......seems to be specific to this computer. Have an identical computer to this one and it never goes offline

Are you sure it's only mail that goes offline, or are you losing connectivity completely? Sounds like a bad NIC card or cable or some other hardware issue as opposed to the email client.

Yes, going offline when connecting to other websites. Will check on that. Remember that older terminals had online and offline settings and was wondering if newer computers were the same.....as far as having an offline setting....thanks
