not tranfering out of auto attendant correctly

i set up auto attendat to pick right away on a magix merlin messaging and it does pick up right away. i want 2 be able 2 transfer 2 any exts. but i hit an exts. it read on the first exts. " return" example ext.100 and rings at the same time. it doesnt go to the ext. i wanted instead to the operator and rings and rings. help.. am i missing something..? selector code is set up 4 direct ext. transfer already.

Make sure the selector code set up for direct extension transfer is the leading digit of your extension list.

i.e. if your extensions start at 100, then selector code 1 should be direct extension transfer.

200 = 2
300 = 3
etc...

yes it is set up as the leading digit of my extension. is there anything else..?

If it is a merlin messaging (not an 007 MLM) - make sure each of the voicemail ports is rotary enabled - or you will only be able to transfer to the operator - and the message lights will not turn on/off.

Perhaps the maximum extension length has not been changed from the default of 2?
