I set up a fair amount of Panasonic systems, but usually these are 24/7 facilities that are always staffed. The setups are usually really simple.

I am setting up a TDE200 now that has ~30 DPT extensions. 101 is Receptionist, the incoming lines are setup in DIL to ring directly to 101.

When the receptionist goes to lunch, there is a rotating schedule of who watches the phones for lunch hour.

On the old PBX currently installed, there is a FWD button, the receptionist presses this button, followed by the DSS button for the extension that watches the phones. When the receptionist comes back, she just presses the FWD button again and the forward is removed.

I currently have a flex button set up with a 1-touch that dials *7112, the receptionist then will have to dial the extension of the person watching phones followed by #.

I have played with the "FWD/DND (External)" flex button, but it appears that if you forward the group to a different person every day, you have to reset the forward destination every day.

I would like to have a way to have the receptionist press a flex button, press the DSS button for the person to FWD to, and be done with it, and then be able to easily un-FWD after lunch. Also I would like the FWD to be easily forwarded a different person the following day.

I think there has to be a better way to do this, the 13 year old system that is being replaced will do this, so there was to be a way to do this on a newer system. I just can't think of a way.

I am TDE certified, I have read and searched the manuals pretty thoroughly. I just can't seem to find the right solution for this one.
Your input is appreciated.

a personal custom dialing menu on Receptions box that picks up may help so
you have the one option in the CDM is A single" please hold the line" and transfer to ICD group called reception overflow now who ever is logged into the special reception group phone will ring set and forget it

If you are interested I can tell you another possible solution that would invove a disa Queue Table. Shawn

Im just going to do Quick Dial codes for now. I might play with DISA to see if I can do it easier that way but I think it will work fine with Quick Dial codes.
