Not seeing my defualt page 1

I had the IIS 5.1 setup working on an XP earlier with help a few weeks ago. Today I was trying to change the defualt but was not sure at what level to do it and deleted and reput on several defualt types but now no defualt page is coming up just a (You are not authorized to view this page).

This is only for internet use using the computer name. I can see the other pages when I put in
What I was trying to do with the defualt was so that any will work of defualt or index but that the primary would be defualt.shtml.

Also I think my script management is gone, not sure since have not tried an ASP.

What is the name of IIS default pages? I think that default.htm, index.htm and default.asp are valid. If you want others you need to add them in the IIS web site properties.
 
I have a vesion of htm, html, asp and an shtml but none are appearing. I also tried to run an ASP and it worked fine. I think it has something to do with permissions or how it setup to see them.
 
On the "Documents" tab, make sure that "Enable default document" is checked, and that your default document name appears in the window (preferably at the top).

Other than that, I don't know. It's not really a permission problem if you can run
 
Okay, I felt stupid on that one....I misspelled "default"! Thank You :) A star for you since it was my own fault.
