I recently built a computer and it worked fine for about 4 days. Now when i start my computer up it goes through the Hardware check-up, says everythings ok, then when it is supposed to start loading windows, it goes blank.

-some helpful info
It won't load windows with the CD in the drive.
I downloaded a program to switch the login screens where you can see user profiles

If any of you could shed a little light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

-Thank you

Try puting the hard drive ( let's call it drive 1) into a diffrent pc with the pc's orginal hard drive ( lets call it drive 2). Then put all your personal files form drive 1 to drive 2, then put drive 1 back into the pc you built and reinstall windows.

yeah i figured out that its my hard drive that isnt working properly.. so 1gbram, how would i go about doing this "file swapping"? How will my friends pc detect my hard drive if it doesn't work in mine?

ok well i got impatient and bought a new hard drive so, i got my computer to work but the only problem i have now is that i can't shut down my computer by using the shutdown button under the start menu -- it pops up with an error report every time asking me to send a report or dont send. If anyone can please help me with this, It would be greatly appreciated.
