Hello Everyone,

I am using CE 9 and CR 9 against an Oracle db.

I have populated a parameter {?docTypes} with a large number of default values. All of the values do not appear wtihin the viewer (when DHTML is selected) when the report is run. It appears that only 50 values are displaying. I know that this is an abnormally large number of values but the data does not offer any other means of selection at this time.

When I change the viewer to Activex then all of the values are displayed.

Any idea's as to why the window displaying the parameter default values is not large enough when using the DHTML viewer?

Thanks in advance.

There have been some other postings about this as I believe there is a 50 value limit. One of the other posts mentioned setting it via the registry for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\DatabaseServer\MaxNBrowseValues

Give this a whirl!

ShortyA,

Thanks for your response. Editing the registry values is probably not an option that we would go with because it would be for every user (about 250).

I appreciate your help.

Hi,
Not the user's registry, but the registry on the CE server machine.

Turkbear,

Thanks for the clarification. That makes the possibility of doing this more reasonable. I will now check into this more closely.

Hi. I'm having the same problem of only getting the first 50 values from one of my db fields in my parameter dropdown list. I have already increased the value here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\DatabaseServer\MaxNBrowseValues

but it doesn't change anything.

Has anyone else found a way to fix this?

That is the method, try starting a new thread and include your software version, and make sure that you are changing it on the server, as Turk suggested.

Hello Everyone,

I actually went through the process of opening a support case with Business Objects and the final response was:
We cannot fix this in version 9. My options are to use another viewer (we chose the java viewer) or upgrade which isn't an option for us to meet a deadline of the end of August.

Sorry that I do not have any better news...
