I have 10 servers with Load Balance and a desktop publish application. Every 30 days the passwords expires. In each user Pc they have a desktop icon of this desktop publish application, and always connect through the desktop icon.
When a user can´t connect because the error "Not able to find ICA Connection Settings" appear, for solution the problem, I open Citrix Program Neighborhood, I go to Application Set Manager, and double-click in the Publish Application, try to connect and appear to validate, I validate and I can access and connect to de citrix server.
I don't know if the password expires could be the reason... Or the citrix ica client...
Please, help me.

My citrix servers are W2K Server, and the clients have multiple OS (W'98,W2k,WXP,W'95,NT4)

I don't know if this is happening at all your workstations or not but it's been my experience that when there is a network password change, there are validation problems from WIN95/98 workstations that have Pass Through Authentication and Use Local Credentials To Logon enabled for their ICA connection. This is usaully fixed by changing the Windows Password to match the users Network password.

Well, I explain a little more. The workstations that connect to our citrix servers are from another sites, and usually they have a server in their sites (I don´t know if her locally user or password take part with the user and password of the citrix ica client)
As well We use roaming profiles. In one Pc with XP too pass.

Sorry for my English, i'm spanish.

Thank you for your support.

I wait your reply.

Do you notice if the clients are having any trouble connecting to any of the servers. May want to double check all the ICA connection settings on the servers to make sure they match.

Also check any network security or group settings for the published apps to make sure everything looks good.

I thought its more a ica client problem that the configuration on the servers, because never appear this problem before and so frequently.
And this problem ocurrs since we have put the password expires.

What do you think?

Thank you

Is this only happening at your remote sites? Are the servers at these sites acting as Domain Controllers to authenticate users there? Since you mention that this happened after a policy change, you may want to make sure your primary PDC is replicating correctly to the BDC's at those locations.

That's about all I can think of.

I would check the event logs on your remote controllers. BTW, there are no primary or backup DC's in W2K server.

I have 2 DC in the domain, and there aren't any problem with replication...
