not able to dial from office to office

hey guys,

just wondering what i should look at for this problem....

2 sites...
both 406v2 4.2.14
1 site with voicemail pro (remote site is set up for centralized voicemail)

i can ping from ip office to ip office just fine....the problem is that i can make 1 call and be fine, but if i hang up and try to dial another remote extension, all i get is dead air. the other person can hear it ring, but when they pick up they hear nothing too?

i do have a error message in "system status" under services stating that im trying to use a feature that i dont have a license for....advanced small community networking

i thought we did not need a license for this as it is a very basic set up...or do i?

How about calling to vm from the remote site. Can you do more than 1 call. If not then I would power cycle the remote site.

It's people like you who generalize.

55.17.0.10 is an external IP address that never going to work.

Or is there a VPN between the two IPOffice systems?

This is setup as a site to site VPN. This has been happening since we have installed it.

Maybe a bad vcm. I will check that.

Yes, we can dial the voicemail by pressing the message button, but can only do this once. If I hang up and press it again, I get dead air. If I wait a minute or two it will connect again, but only one call.

So should I worry about the error message about the advanced small community networking?

I think that error message is a bug in the SSA 4.2

When you call the other end make another call at the same time.
Let monitor log and look in System status and then resources to see if it gets another vcm channel.
