Not able to apply document to cash receipt entry

Just making sure I understand what you're saying...you're looking to pull up an Invoice and then apply it to a Cash Receipt? If so, that will not work. You have to start with the Cash Receipt - once you pull up a Cash Receipt, you can apply it to an Invoice. If that's not what you meant, can you please give some more detail?
