Hi everybody,i get some issue working on the project about to connect two Norstar MICS between two site. Site A with a norstar Mics system and the other site with an other norstar system MICS all both are added to an existing network LAN,the resolve is to allow the users on the two site can easily call each other.

Somebody has already configure this feature ?

Any help will help.
Tanks,

You can't put two MICS on a data network and interconnect them. Fistly there is no LAN connection on a MICS so I don't know you could have "both added to an existing network".

They can be interconnected using a point to point PRI or old school analog E&M circuits.

You better get some on site tech support to point you in the right direction.

Alright, about to add them on existing network i thought it was possible cause i have read it on a NORSTAR MICS Document. Thanks,
but for the point to point PRI interconnection,it's a pre-installed hardware on the Norstar misc or for the order i will need a specific PRI card to use this function ???

Waiting to your response.

You'll need some kind of PRI gateway, a cheap way to do this is a couple of old Cisco 28xx routers with a PRI card a PRI X-Over cable, PVDM modules and obviously either a direct link or VPN between the two. You can set the PRI cards to simulate the network and supply a clock to the Norstars. You'll need so set up routing tables on both Norstars and dial peers on the Ciscos. It is possible (I did it a few years ago to network a Mitel 3300 to a MICS) But it did take a lot of googling.

Ok thank you guys,
I'm totally new on this feature

On the Norstar,so, i will need a specific card (PRI) installed on each MICS NORSTAR system ?

About the link, could you provide me a little explanation on how it should be/ Wireless, fiber cable ?

Let's make a thread that i realize on all i will need and do for this project
Thanks,

Hello guys,i deceived about my question a few days ago.
The question is how to add an analogue on a distance Norstar MICS.
the customer want to add one or more analogue phone from a distance Norstar MICS system without needed to by a new one .
Thanks,

A network (LAN) is in the two site,on the first site they have a Norstar system phone already installed that is use it for internal call, in the second site they have also a network (LAN) installed and they want add other extensions using the same Norstar mics system phone installed on the first site.

I'm sorry for type of link you mentioned.

I found "Mediatrix VOIP Gatway 1204"
Has someone already use it?

Thanks,
