Every time I start my computer, I get a message from Norton's AntiVirus 2006 that it has deleted a file infected with the backdoor.graybird virus (virus first discovered in 2003).
I just upgraded to N's AV 2006 on 12/29/05, got the new virus definitions 1/2/06 and started getting the message 1/2/06.
The file was in my temp folder "c:\Documents and settings....\temp\mc24.tmp".
I've read Symantec's help page and none of the files, registry entries, etc. are present.
I've removed everything from my startup folders.
I've verified that quarantine has a backup of the infected file for each time I've booted.
How can I determine what is putting it on my computer every time I boot? Or is there a problem with N's AV?
