Nortons Antivirus 8.1 corporate

I have NAV 8.1 Corporate installed on a XP pro pc.
now it wont perform a live update, auto or manaual.
It tries to do it through a dial up account or vpn when its on the lan and wont connect to the server.
Is there an option to configure internet settings in NAV.
ive looked hard but cant find anything.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Starting to get really fucked off with Nortons products.
 
Is this a managed or unmanaged client install?

It is a unmanaged i think ( client install only) no server on the network to do updates, each pc updates its own.
 
By your comments I take you are on a lan. Is there a firewall between you and the internet. When you are not on the lan and connected directly to the internet does it work.

Yes the pc is on the lan and there is no firewall protection either.
and havent tried updating with a dial up connection.

Is there somewhere to configure the settings for the internet connection in this product.

You have to install license for 8.1, never had to do this with earlier versions.
