Norton Personal FireWall Problems

Well what is happening is a program tries to access the internet such as msn messenger. I click permit and it still blocks it. It dosent even add it to the list whcih you can get to by going personal fire wall > Configure

I think it has currupted or something. If i try to add the program to the list manually it just freezes the whole norton thing and i have to restart my computer. Also if i have been trying to add programs when i shut down it cant seem to close CCAPP.exe (a norton file)

Can anyone help me out because not bring able to use interent enabled programs is starting to annoy me

Norton Personal Firewall and Internet Security seem to cause more problems than it helps. I would remove it and just put on Norton Antivirus and enable the Windows firewall
