I am wondering if anyone can tell me if a MICS running 3.0 can support a PRI/Clocking?

Do I need to upgrade the software to 6.0 or above?
Do I need a combo fiber with the clocking?
Or a fiber and seperate clocking?

PRI was introduced to the MICS at 4.0
You can use either a Service card or a COMBO card for clocking.

3.0 is a bit old. At least 6.1 or get 7.1 (the latest). You'll have to be concerned with loosing programming

A combo card is fine or fiber /clock card. How many modules do you have, how many telephones?

Not sure on Modules, phones around 15.

So if I upgrade from 3.0 to 7.1 do I have to hit intermidiate jumps on software?

And I will lose all programming?

I would default the system at 3.0 then install the 7.1 and re-program. THe reason I say this is because it looks like you have minimal programming on the system at tis time. But if you choose not to there is an upgrade tool that you could use which should save programming al the way though the upgrade process.

The upgrade tool is actually 6.1 software. If you go that route remember that any old, invalid programming will be brought forward to the new version. With fewer than 30 or so phones it will probably be faster to just reprogram. Remember that you'll need the PRI Enabler keycode (NTAB2769) in addition to the hardware.

Do you have a Voice Mail on this system if so what kind and the version. It may not work with the newer system S/W.

Great, thanks for all the info guys.
This should get me moving.
