Nortel T7316E red light blinks & triangles flash

Have same problem as other thread. Had a short power outage, not even a severe storm, and this phone out of dozens of others will not come back up. Tried phone in different locations, tried same model phone in old jack and that one works fine on it. Plug in the bad unit and the red message light blinks continuously, and the triangle icons in the lcd area flash.

If you put a new phone in the location where the bad one was and it's working fine then the phone is bad.

I have plugged the same model phone into the jack and it works fine. Old phone is garabage then. There is No way of recovering? If someone can honestly tell me that there is no way to recover from this symptom then I will dispose of the old phone and move on.
