Nortel T7000 Phones

We've just got a load of Nortel T7000 Digital Phones which don't seem to work on our meridian 1 system. All our Digi phones are programmed in as type 2616 but come up as SL1 when you query the system (I don't understand why but it works so it's OK) Should the T7000's be programmed as a different type or are they not compatible with our sytem?

They are not compatible with your system they are for Norstar

Just what I wanted to hear! That boosts my case for letting me buy the phones.

where they less expensive though? that's a cost saving measure!

OK we've now got Meridian Phones (M3901) but when you swap them over with our existing Digi Phones (M3310) they're dead. Do these phones need to be set up differently?

yes i had to rebuild mine when i replaced 2616 with 3904 the diplays don't show anything and key layout was slightly different. do a search for M3900 series Meridian Digital tlephones and download the PDF.
