I would like to find out how I can have callers press the "0" button upon calling and the call would automatically come to me. (I'm at extension 24) Right now the phone system is set up with different telephone extensions. (Extension, 21, 22, 23 & 24).

If a caller presses "0" the system tells the customer that the caller "the operator is not available, this mailbox is full and can not accept any messages. Please try again later, exiting the system." and the caller is disconnected.

Mail box full is the general delivery mailbox and it is full you should erase the messages. Press feature 982 then the password and set the attendent to Y and make you the attendent extention.
Also in the AA greeting table there is an attendent extention to assign there too.

I tried to hit Feature 982, however it asks for a password. We have never used this feature and all of the passwords that I try seem to be invalid. I tried 23646 (admin) an d8463 (time).

And How would I erase the general delivery mailbox? We have never used this function since I've been employed here. Everyone has their own personal voicemail box system.

To get into 982 you need to use OPERATOR. And the GD MB is MB 10 this is usualy on the reception phone to access F 981 other enter 10 0000#.

I'd also recommend assigning mb 10 to a phone. That way messages in that box won't be overlooked, an the box won't fill up.

Under F983, press MBOX, CHG, 10, and NEXT. Change the extension to a phone without voicemail currently.

Usually the general delivery MB is assigned to someone who is volunteered be responsible for all the stray calls that end up there.
but it can be turned off with a (hidden code).
From where would you like people to press "0" and be transferred to you.
if they are in a mailbox , you can set the mailbox option to go to any local you like when they press (0)

if you want to have any one on the system who presses 0 go to you that programming change is done in config.
