I have a CICS rel. 6.0 that has a functioning pri connection. I am dialing out with 9 set up in destination codes and corresponding to route 001. My customer wants to use telco feature *67 and I can not add a * to any of my programming to allow it. I have no restrictions set up and I have been through the PRI/DEST code/route programming in the manual several times. What am I missing. I have been programming key systems for a while and this stumps me. Thanks!!!

use ONN block (F819) before each call
ask the carrier to block permanently

senk1s is correct
There is no way to configure *67 on PRI

You will have to use feature 817 prior to each call

what I was wondering was how you got the PRI to work on a CICS?

"mics installer guide"

• PRI trunks do not utilize the VSC.
The second method used to alert the CO is by a suppression
packaged within the call setup message. BRI trunks
either method.
Note: PRI trunks only support the suppression
of signalling the CO to block the outgoing
and Number to the calling party, therefore,
additional programming is required.

just use feature 819 or program a button for featue 819

I'm not sure ONN blocking will work if the provider is generating your outbound clid. Try it, but you'll have to call them if it doesn't work. I've heard some real horror stories from techs trying to get some Telcos to cooperate with them on this, but others will set you up with no hassle.

Thanks for all your help and quick responses. I am trying to get this feature to work on Time Warner Telecom PRI services and have had no luck so far. I am opening a ticket with Time Warner to find out why I am still getting caller name and number even after using this code.

You got me!!! MICS... Sorry...

I Realize that my earlier post was confusing. the PRI does not use the VSC (*67) it uses a bit in the d channel message to block the caller id. it seems to be pre-programmed when you activate a PRI so dialing feature 817 turns ONN blocking on for the next call.

I am working with TWTC to see what we can do. After jumping through hoops at another site for weeks to get incomming caller id working on a Mitel, it "just starts working" magically. I don't think Time Warner has their stuff together. This could be an uphill battle. I need this for a mental health facility that has to maintain confidential communications. I can dial feature 819 and the display shows that ONN is on, but the caller ID is still displaying. Can I control the displayed caller ID on a MICS? Another post made me wonder about this.

Since it is a health facility the phone company is required to block caller id if the customer requests it. this also applies to police and fire departments along with (I Think) Police/Fire officers, doctors and nurses.

Time Warner Cable is a cable company. Time Warner Telecom is an all fiber network capable of providing telecom signaling and provisioning channel banks to provide analog circuits. There is no relation between the two. That doesn't mean they are good at what they do, but they are in no way connected. That is why they have changed their name to TW Telecom.
