Has anyone ever noticed that the call transmit volume (the vokume that callers hear us) from nortel phones on IP office is a bit lower than what it is when the phones are on a BCM50. Using BRI line. No options for tx gain for send and receive?
Also is a licence required for sip trunks on ip office. It's Rls 8.0 V2

Not sure about the call transmit volume between BCM50 and IPO, are you talking IP Handsets or T series digital? I only have SIP trunks and an analogue trunk so I'm unsure about BRI. Someone here will know!

You can set up SIP Trunks on IPO but you will need SIP Channel licences (One for each active call)
As an example, I have 3 SIP Channel Licences and have multiple accounts with a few SIP providers, however I can only have 3 active/simultaneous calls at once. You also need to make sure you have enough VCMs (Voice Compression Modules) to work with the SIP lines. Combo cards have 10 VCMs and you can also get a VCM32/64 for additional channels depending on your requirements.

I've been told by the company I purchase licences from that from December 6, many people will need to IPO Release 11 and transition from ADI to the PLDS licences. If you don't want to upgrade to Release 11 you will want to purchases these additional licences fast (So my supplier tells me...but check with the company you get your licences from to confirm this is accurate)
