Can anyone give me a reliable source for new and refurbed Nortel 2000 phones? I'm not really looking for the cheapest but someone who will be there in 2 years to cover the warranty!
Thanks,

I tried to locate that document and was unsuccessful. Do you have the link, or where in the website I would go for these bulletins? I have established an account for access. Thanks.
ebay is dirt cheap unless you get a load of bad ones, the hosp just found out that a lot of their 2616's had 2008 chip sets and will need to be replaced before i will upgrade the switch. chip sets and software must match before i can insure service.. bell south is far from cheap, what we are is a service company. at this site, not only do i replace any bad phone, i also relabel the new one, carry it to the desk and check it. the one year they have on their referb sets is fine if you have a copy of hte invoice, and want to pay shipping both ways and leave the office empty for a week or two. that type of warrenty is almost as good as the one on my cell phone. after a month with a loaner they told me it couldn't be fixed, so i needed to fork over 189 bucks to replace a 75 dollar phone. glad i paid extra for that.. way to go altel
Further information, I went to Technical Support and selected Telephones and Accessories, Meridian M2000, and Bulletins. The only thing it pulled up was [ ALERT ] Manufacturing Defect in MG9000 Shelves.
I use A1 Teletronics , they are located in St Petersburg FL. They can be reached at 1-800-736-4397. I have used this company for over 5 years and never had a problem.
Okay, so I found the MD is Manufature Discontinue, but I still cannot find that one about the 2000 series phones. Can you post it here? I have been trying to get my company to look at 3904's and I need a good justifiaction why we should do away with our 2008's and 2616's. Thanks.
How much time does it take to label the ff-ing Ariel and Orion phones??? You do not have to label the M390x phone's, so you don't have to go to the user to change the label when you changed his/her key...
Bugs in the phones??? Just update the firmware
Users want to use a corporate phonebook which is updated on a scheduled time?? M3903 and 3904 are your what you need.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...
I use a company called Retrotel, located in Palm Desert California. They are right across the street from me, but I know they ship. They had a booth at Global Connect in June, and have a good reputation. You can contact them at
(760) 776-7573.
They also buy old phones as well. I have sold them a number of 2000 series phones as I transitioned to 390x. I have had great service with them to date. JK
you are going to go to 3900 phone before it's all said and done, it is just a matter of time before nortel doesn't sell software (tn, pkg) upgrades to the legecy sets.. they did have an evergreen policy at one time but found out some people wanted them to live up to it. we do have customers with sl one sets (4 pair led's qpc 60's) in service. i don't think nortel will allow 2000 series to live that long after md... before we get them all changed to 3900 we will start having to use I3900's to buy tn's
Worldwidedialtone,
There is currently no replacement for the M2016S. It is not being discontinued and will remain available from Nortel. But the rest of the M2XXX sets are discontinued after Sept 17th.
